The article explains how to create a table from a CSV file loaded into the Lakehouse without coding.
By navigating to the filename in the Lakehouse and selecting 'New table', a table can be created with the file's name as the default table name.
There is no control over column types when using this method, which may cause issues for some files.
The table is stored in delta format, and column types cannot be changed from the view.
Updating a table can be done by selecting 'Existing table' instead of 'New table' and deciding whether to append the data or overwrite it.
This method is ideal for clean, well-structured CSV files and slow-moving dimension tables.
More complex files may require other methods like dataflows or notebooks for transformation.
It is recommended to ensure the date format is YYYY-MM-DD to avoid any issues with date formatting.
