Microsoft Fabric – Create tables with Dataflows

Gen2 Dataflows in Microsoft Fabric have the new ability to have a destination entity.
To create a Gen2 Dataflow, open the Lakehouse and select New Dataflow Gen2 from the Get data drop-down.
You can load CSV files from the Sales folder into the Lakehouse using Power Query.
Power Query allows for file combining by changing the Content column datatype to binary.
The date column in CSV files with American date format needs to be fixed before saving to a table.
Adding a destination in the dataflow involves selecting Lakehouse as the destination and updating the Table Name.
After setting up the destination, you can choose to Append or Replace data and map column names accordingly.
Publishing the dataflow saves and refreshes the data, resulting in the creation of a new Sales table in the Lakehouse.
