Business Central 2024 wave 2 (BC25): Use multiple VAT/TAX numbers for a customer (Alternative Customer VAT Registration)

Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 release wave 2 public preview (BC25) is available.
Business Central allows for the use of multiple VAT numbers for customers with warehouses in different EU countries.
The European Commission provides the VIES VAT Number Validation service for validating VAT numbers.
Business Central now allows setting up alternative VAT registration numbers for customers with warehouses in different countries.
A new action called Alternative VAT Registration has been added to the Customer Card page.
The feature is linked with the Country/Region Code in the Ship-to Addresses.
When selecting an Alternate Ship-to Address, Business Central shows the appropriate VAT number.
This feature is available on sales documents like sales invoices, sales orders, sales credit memos, and sales return orders.
