Client reported different behavior accessing “General Journal” page in different companies in Business Central.
One company immediately opens “General Journal” page, while another shows “General Journal Template List” page.
Post explains why companies exhibit different behavior.
“General Journal Template List” page provides clue for the issue.
General Journal Templates exist for each type of Journal, providing default information for batches.
Issue was caused by a duplicate General Journal Template created by a new user.
Deleting the duplicate template resolved the issue.
It's recommended to create multiple batches within a single General Journal Template.
