Business Central 2024 wave 2 (BC25): Replenish items for projects (Create Purchase Orders from Project Card)

The public preview for Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 release wave 2 (BC25) is available.
Business Central allows for fast and easy replenishment of items for projects with the Create Purchase Order feature on the Project Card page.
The process of creating purchase orders from projects is similar to sales functionality and utilizes the Order Planning worksheet algorithm.
Users can now choose the Tell Me feature icon, enter Projects, and select the related link to open a project for purchasing items.
The Create Purchase Orders page shows lines for each item on the project, with options to view fully available or unavailable quantities and modify purchase quantities and vendor information.
Each vendor from which items are purchased on the project will have a purchase order created automatically, with the purchase line associated with the project.
Users can review purchase lines linked to the project from either the Project Card page or Project Planning Lines.
The new feature is similar to the Create Purchase Orders feature on Sales Order and requires the project status to be Open and Apply Usage toggle to be selected for advanced inventory processes.
