Business Central 2024 wave 1 (BC24): Define default location for project or project phase

The article titled "Hi, Readers" highlights the availability of the public preview for Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 release wave 1 (BC24).
The BC24 release introduces the ability to define a default location and bin for projects or project phases, which helps reduce time spent on data entry and allows users to focus on core tasks.
The default location and bin are automatically assigned when creating project tasks, project planning lines, and project journal lines for the project.
Users can change the location code and bin on tasks and lines if needed.
In BC23.5 and previous versions, it was not possible to set the default location and bin in the Project/Job Card.
With BC24, users can specify a default Location Code and Bin Code on the Project and Project Task Lines Subform pages, simplifying data entry.
The Location Code and Bin Code fields are available on the Posting Tab of the Project Card page, and the To-Project Bin Code is populated when selecting the location code.
The Location Code and Bin Code fields don't display by default on project tasks, project planning lines, and project journal lines, but users can add them through personalization. Changes to existing tasks and lines must be updated manually.
