The new Inline PowerShell action in Azure Logic Apps allows users to embed PowerShell scripts directly into workflows, eliminating the need for additional services.
The action supports dynamic content from previous steps and returns the results from PowerShell code for use in subsequent actions.
The Inline PowerShell action is useful for automating tasks in Azure when events occur in other applications or services, such as Dynamics 365 Business Central.
When adding the Inline PowerShell action, users can paste their PowerShell script into the code window to execute.
Managed identity must be set up for Azure Logic Apps workflows to manage Azure resources using PowerShell scripts.
Users must enable public PowerShell modules for their Standard logic app resource to use up to 10 modules.
Loading PowerShell modules for the first time in a workflow may take minutes, but subsequent runs are quicker.
The Inline PowerShell action can retrieve trigger parameters, output from other actions, log messages to Application Insights, and push outputs forward to subsequent actions.
