Warehouse workers may need to process picking orders with multiple products or products with tracking dimensions such as batch and serial numbers.
Implementing the 'work processing policy' feature can significantly improve efficiency in the put step, allowing immediate processing of the confirmation step on the mobile device.
The 'work processing policy' feature reduces waiting time for warehouse workers, increases processing capacity, and allows for more shipments and deliveries to be handled efficiently.
Configuration of the work processing policy involves setting up the policy name, description, work order type, operation, work processing method, deferred processing threshold, and deferred processing batch group.
The work processing policy must be configured in both the Warehouse Management parameters and at the warehouse level.
Mobile menu items can be excluded from using the 'Work processing policy' with the setting 'Deferred put processing policy'.
The process involves picking a pallet, delivering it to the ship location, starting the put step, and processing it in the background using the deferred processing task.
After the completion of the put step processing, the shipment can be confirmed, the packing slip posted, and the sales order status changed to 'delivered'.
