People around the world track their times on Fridays using timesheets or time recording applications.
The latest update of D365 Project Operations includes a new Microsoft Copilot functionality for time entry suggestions based on active Resource Assignments.
The Copilot feature may simply be an existing Resource Assignments import feature labeled as AI capability.
An improvement was noted in the import feature, although an error may still occur at the end of the week.
The Copilot Studio includes a Project Service Power Virtual Agents Bot with a topic for logging time.
Users can generate comments for time entries using generative AI, which can be edited before application.
The two new Copilot features in Project Operations are Log my time and Generate Comment, with specific trigger phrases for each.
The features are currently in preview and only available in North American Microsoft Azure regions, not meant for productive environments yet.
