The article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create a new environment for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or Dynamics 365 Commerce.
The prerequisites for creating the environment include having a valid subscription for Microsoft Azure and an Office 365 account with a Finance and Operations license.
The process starts by logging into Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services and selecting either D365 Commerce or D365 Finance and Operations.
After creating the project, users can navigate to the Cloud Hosted Environments section and click on "Add" to create a new environment.

After configuring the Azure Connector, users can proceed with selecting the application and platform version and choosing the environment topology (DEMO or DEVTEST).
Users also have the option to customize the environment name and select the size of the virtual machine to be used.
Once all the necessary information is provided, users can click on "Next" and deploy the environment, which typically takes around 6-8 hours. If the deployment fails, users can try creating an environment with a slightly older platform or application version.
