AL Project must have a launch.json file in .vscode folder for configuration settings.
Key configurations in launch.json include type, request, name, server, port, tenant, and authentication.
To connect to the container, download symbols from the environment by using the AL Command in VSCode.
Symbols will be found in the .alpackages folder once the connection is established.
Optional properties to set include enableLongRunningSqlStatements, enableSqlInformationDebugger, and breakOnNext.
Different session types like WebClient, WebserviceClient, and Background can be specified in the launch.json.
