Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 release wave 2 (BC25) public preview is available.
New features include easier in-client performance profiling with rules.
In Business Central 2021 wave 2 (BC19), Microsoft added the AL performance profiler to Visual Studio Code AL experience.
Business Central 2022 wave 1 (BC20) introduced in-client performance profiler feature for analyzing performance issues.
Active Apps show active apps during recording, Time Spent displays app durations, and Call Tree provides a visualization.
A new rule-based scheduling mode for capturing profiles in the background is added in BC25.
Profile rule schedule settings include activity type, sampling frequency, profile creation threshold, and retention period.
Profiles can be viewed and analyzed in the Performance Profiles list page, allowing for detailed performance issue inspection.
