Business Central 2024 wave 1 (BC24): Allow customers to consent to Microsoft Support accessing their data (Customer Lockbox)

Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 wave 1 (BC24) is now generally available.
The release introduces new features that will be helpful to customers.
Customers can now give consent for Microsoft Support to access their data, ensuring compliance with data privacy requirements.
Lockbox policies in the Power Platform admin center can now be applied to Business Central environments, allowing customers to increase security and privacy of their data in the cloud.
Customers can have more visibility and control over who accesses their data and for what purposes.
Lockbox approvals are valid for 8 hours.
The lockbox policy is only enforced for environments that are activated for Managed Environments.
The policy is administered by Global Administrators and Power Platform Administrators.
Specific Microsoft 365 and Power Platform licensing requirements apply for access to Customer Lockbox.
