Custom Connectors are a crucial component of power apps for connecting to any API and automating processes.
Importing a connector from an existing API requires creating it outside of a solution and importing the swagger.json via Postman.
Editing the Host URL and finessing data types can be done in the connector UI or swagger editor.
Making adjustments to the API and flow editing may be necessary, such as adding default responses and clearing cache for changes to reflect in the flow editor.
Releasing the connector to UAT involves using environment variables to avoid direct editing in each environment, with a specific release order.
Manual release of flows and connector references may be needed if CI process fails, with post-release changes channel recommended for smooth Prod release.
Making changes to flows may require updating the connector to ensure environment variable references are not lost.
