Embedded Power BI reports in D365 F&O

The article discusses the reporting options available in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), including both common reporting options like Electronic reporting and embedded Power BI reports.
Embedded Power BI reports are pre-built reports that use the Power BI viewer and are added as AOT elements within the system. An example of this is the Cash overview – all companies workspace in the Cash and bank management module.
These embedded reports are designed to provide key members of an organization with an overview of different areas of their operation without the need for a separate reporting solution.
When accessing these reports for the first time, they do not have pre-loaded data.
To load data into these reports, the user needs to configure the data to be manipulated and pushed into a separate database called AxDW, which is intended for analytical models.
The configuration of the data is done through the Aggregate measure and Aggregate dimensions AOT elements.
The Entity store form can be accessed to configure the aggregate models available within the system and start using them to push data.
