Business Documents in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations use the Electronic Reporting (ER) framework for data extraction and formatting.
Customizing a standard business document with custom labels involves setting language preferences in the Format Designer.
Language preferences can be set at the "Format" level, with options including User preference, Company preference, Explicitly defined, and Defined at run-time.
System label codes can be applied by using the structure @”SYS Code” > @”SYS37017″ to return the specified system label code value.
GER (Electronic Reporting) Label Codes can be created on data models or format designers and applied using the structure @”GER Label: Label code” > @”GER_LABEL:Email”.
Custom ER label values can be added by defining them on custom data models or format designers, allowing for localized labels in documents.
Exporting GER/ER labels from a Data Model or Format Designer enables broader usage across configurations in the ER framework.
Importing custom labels into ER can be done using the "Load label" function, ensuring correct integration and availability for customization in selected ER configurations.
