Microsoft will discontinue support for using service-based authentication methods (certificate and shared secret) for the Warehouse Management mobile app in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management on July 15, 2024.
Users are advised to switch to device code flow authentication before the discontinuation date.
Steps to switch to device code flow authentication include enabling mobile and desktop flows in the App registration settings and verifying API permissions in the Azure Portal.
Users should ensure that the Assignment Required and Visible to users settings are correctly configured for the Client ID in Azure Active Directory Enterprise Applications.
All users or user groups that need permission to register new WMS Devices should be added in the Users and Groups section.
To switch to device code flow authentication, users need to delete the existing connection from the WMS app and create a new one using a connection file template provided.
The connection file template includes fields such as ActiveDirectoryClientAppId, ConnectionName, ActiveDirectoryResource, ActiveDirectoryTenant, Company, IsEditable, IsDefaultConnection, and ConnectionType.
