The author still uses a MacBook Air 2012 for browsing and is locked into the Apple ecosystem with an iPhone.
They purchased the entry-level Mac Mini M4 with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for their work with Visual Studio 2022.
Basic tasks such as browsing and modifying tables work perfectly on the new Mac Mini M4.
The author uses XrmToolBox as their first tool for Power Platform activities.
The new Mac Mini M4 is an ARM machine, and the author chose to use VMware Fusion Pro for virtualization to run Windows 11 Arm edition.
XrmToolBox works fine in the virtual machine running Windows 11 Arm with only 4 GB of allocated RAM.
The author uses several XrmToolBox tools, including FetchXML Builder, Plugin Registration Tool, Custom API Manager, Ribbon Workbench, and Dataverse REST Builder, all of which work well on Windows 11 Arm.
With multiple apps open, including the virtual machine, the author uses around 8/9 GB of RAM, indicating that 16 GB of RAM is sufficient for their needs within the virtual machine.
