Dynamics 365 Business Central v24 introduces support for multiple extensions to the same target in the same application.
Changes have been made to allow extensions to exist in the same app as their target.
Multiple extensions to the same target can now coexist in the same app.
This update enables the creation of multiple extension objects of the same target within an extension.
Developers can now create multiple tableextension objects for a base table like Customer within an extension.
Pageextension objects can also be duplicated within the same app.
It is now possible to define a new table object and a tableextension object of this base table in a single extension.
The update aims to support better separation of concerns in large apps, such as the Business Foundation Layer, by allowing for more modular development and easier maintenance.
